The route follows a circular course, initially southwards via the railway underpass, swinging west across the M9 and skirting the banks of the Teith near its convergence with the Forth behind Dobbies. Thereafter it tacks north and east along the lower reaches of the Park of Keir estate and, following a short incline to Lecropt Kirk, turns back down the A9 to the starting point.
The going is firm and flat but there may be surface mud or water in places so walking shoes or boots are recommended.
At the start of the walk Bill will say a few words about the old buildings (the mill, the inn and the site of the old bridge.
Parking: Inverallan Road, Station Road, and on either side of Henderson Street, including the bridge.
There are ample local tea/coffee and snack facilities, and public toilets on Provost’s Park at the corner of Henderson Street and Well Road.
