Thursday 11 September - 10:00am
This walk starts from the car park next to the Brig o'Turk tea room, leaving at 10 am. There is additional parking behind the village hall. The walk is 9 km and will take about 3 hours.
The first 2 km are a steady incline on the tarmac road taking us above the dam. The path then turns east along a well made, undulating track through regenerating woodland managed by the Woodland Trust. Some sections are moderately steep, but short. It then drops down a zig-zag grass track to a point near the Little Druim car park and back west to Brig o'Turk via the Visitor Gateway (toilets available). Unfortunately the Brig o’Turk tea room is closed that day so bring a drink and a snack. Car sharing can be arranged. Please reply to Carol carolanne.salt@gmail.com
