Walk: Loch Ossian, Corrour NB CHANGE OF DATE

Friday 20 May - 10:00am
We will travel by train from either Crianlarich or Bridge of Orchy to Corrour Station which is the remotest stop on the UK rail network and not accessible by road. The train times give us approx. seven hours at Corrour and the intention is to walk around Loch Ossian, about 9 miles, 4.5 to 5.5 hours plus stops.

The train departs Crianlarich at 10.21 and Bridge of Orchy at 10.48 arriving in Corrour at 11.21am.  The facilities at Corrour Station restaurant are good.  The return train departs Corrour at 18.25 arriving at Bridge of Orchy at 18.57 and Crianlarich at 19.22. Coffee and scones are usually available at the station restaurant on arrival; bring a packed lunch and drinks.  Because of the exposed situation, layers of clothing are essential as well as boots and don’t forget the midgie cream.

Please let me know if you intend to come on this walk.
