There’s snow on the hills and it’s time to think about things that will cheer us up as winter closes in. SURSA’s Christmas Lunch Party does just that. Oscar’s is still full of builders so our booking is for the Iris Murdoch Centre on Wednesday 18 December at 12:30 pm. Those of us who went to this year’s early summer lunch will remember how enjoyable the venue was - on that occasion we were able to have a drink before lunch on the terrace looking at the Ochils bathed in sunshine. It may not be quite like that in December but the staff always make the venue welcoming and attractive. The cost has inevitably risen a bit but the menu is an improvement on previous menus.
