Michael Usher will give a talk on 'Biodiversity across Europe' in Cottrell C2A13
Michael Usher is an Honorary Professor in the School of Natural Sciences. On leaving the University of York in 1991, he was appointed Chief Scientist at SNH. He has particular interests in ecology and biodiversity. The Bern Convention has provided the foundation for nature conservation legislation throughout Europe. In recent years he has had much experience in attempting to resolve wildlife disputes and in evaluating and appraising a prestigious award for protected areas on behalf of the Council of Europe.
